Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the MrRooT digital signage platform and services. By using our services, you agree to these Terms.
1. Definitions
"Service" refers to the MrRooT digital signage platform, including the CMS, player software, monitoring dashboard, and client portal. "Customer" refers to any person or business that subscribes to our Service. "Device" refers to any hardware (browser, TV stick, Raspberry Pi) running the MrRooT player software. "Content" refers to images, videos, and other media displayed on screens via our Service.
2. Service Description
MrRooT provides a managed digital signage service including content management, device monitoring, and optional content design. We offer three tiers: Browser (€5/screen/month), Smart Stick (€7/screen/month), and RPi Kiosk (€10/screen/month). All tiers include remote management, real-time monitoring, and email support.
3. Account Terms
You must provide accurate information when creating an account. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials. You must be at least 18 years old or have authorization from your organization to enter into this agreement. One account per venue; multi-venue operators may request a master account.
4. Payment Terms
Services are billed monthly per screen. Payment is due within 14 days of invoice. We accept bank transfer and card payments. Prices are in EUR excluding VAT (VAT is added where applicable under Czech law). We reserve the right to adjust pricing with 30 days notice. Unpaid invoices after 30 days may result in service suspension.
5. Cancellation & Refunds
You may cancel your subscription at any time with immediate effect. There are no cancellation fees or penalties. Service continues until the end of the current billing period. Hardware purchased through our Hardware-as-a-Service program must be returned within 14 days of cancellation. No refunds for partial months.
6. Hardware
Hardware purchased outright (Smart Stick, RPi kit) is your property. Hardware provided through our HaaS program remains property of MrRooT and must be returned upon cancellation. You are responsible for physical security of deployed hardware. We are not responsible for damage caused by power surges, vandalism, or environmental factors.
7. Content Responsibility
You are responsible for ensuring that content displayed on your screens complies with applicable laws, including copyright, advertising standards, and local regulations. MrRooT is not liable for content you create or upload. Content created by our design team is licensed for use on your screens only and may not be redistributed.
8. Service Level & Uptime
We target 99.9% uptime for our cloud services. Our player devices include watchdog auto-recovery and offline caching to minimize display interruptions. We do not guarantee uninterrupted service and are not liable for downtime caused by internet outages, power failures, or hardware malfunctions outside our control. Planned maintenance will be announced 48 hours in advance.
9. Limitation of Liability
MrRooT's total liability for any claim related to the Service is limited to the amount you paid for the Service in the 12 months preceding the claim. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages including lost revenue, lost data, or business interruption. This limitation applies to the fullest extent permitted by Czech law.
10. Privacy
Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy. By using the Service, you consent to the data practices described in our Privacy Policy. We process data in accordance with GDPR and applicable Czech data protection laws.
11. Changes to Terms
We may modify these Terms at any time. We will notify you of material changes via email at least 30 days before they take effect. Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance. If you disagree with changes, you may cancel your subscription.
12. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Czech Republic. Any disputes will be resolved in the courts of Prague, Czech Republic. If any provision of these Terms is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue in full force.
